Mississippi State Organization has members who are educators, specialists, administrators or other key women in education. Mississippi State Organization is comprised of three districts (Northern, Central and Southern) and 29 chapters. Conventions and district meetings are held to support the professional and personal growth of members and to focus attention on current educational issues and concerns.

Congratulations, Kiara!
Kiara Williams was named Mississippi Counseling Association's 2025 School Counselor of the Year. Mississippi Counseling Association (MCA) members are credentialed, professional counselors who work to promote positive development and adjustment among the children and adults whom they serve. Counselors provide services in the following areas: crisis prevention/ intervention; mental and emotional concerns; safe schools and conflict resolution; academic and career assessment; at-risk and drop-out prevention; substance abuse; and child, adolescent neglect and abuse. Kiara is currently serving as counselor for Grenada Middle School. She is a member of Alpha Phi Chapter. |

Ashley Baker, of Rho Chapter, has been selected to join the DKG Next group! DKG Next is a program designed for members who are newer to the Society, offering opportunities to deepen their understanding of DKG’s mission, values, and operations while actively contributing to its future. Although Ashley has only been a member for five years, her enthusiasm and dedication are contagious! Members of DKG Next often shine on the front lines at International Conferences and Conventions, helping to drive innovation and progress across the Society. We are confident that Ashley will represent Mississippi State Organization with pride and distinction.

Lindsay Griffin has two photographs chosen to be in the Fall DKG Art Gallery. Lindsay is currently serving as our Central District Director. She is a member of Alpha Chi. According to Lindsay, "I love taking pictures of things that jump out to me. The two pictures that will be in the fall art gallery are titled “late night visitor” and “parking lot weed”. "Late night visitor" is a raccoon footprint in mud. It was taken at LMS this year. "Parking lot weed" was taken at Comic Con.
