The Educational Foundation Committee proudly announces that Linda Hollingsworth of Mississippi State Organization has been selected as one of fifty (50) to receive a 50th Anniversary Award in memory of Bettye Dunbar in the amount of $1000. Her project entitled "Creating Readers for Life" will provide supplemental reading materials for first through fifth grade classes at Simpson County Academy to enhance and improve reading skills and comprehension. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Mrs. Earlora Holden, Pearl River alumnus, retired instructor and department chair, widow of Coach Dobie Holden and the woman for whom Earlora Chapman Holden Student Residence Hall is named. She celebrated her 105th birthday on April 29th and received a card signed by the dorm residents. She is a founding member of Sigma Chapter
